Streetsville came into being in the year of 1825, when a very entrepreneurial man name Timothy Street was granted a large parcel of land as payment for his surveillance work. Back in those days, water was an essential element in the development of most small villages as waterpower was a vital source of energy. Not so surprising then that the village of Streetsville was developed along the Credit River, on both the west and east sides of the river, with the majority of the town residing on the western side.
Now in the 21st Century located in the northwest corner of Mississauga is this wonderfully unique and charming little village community of Streetsville. Much of the charm and uniqueness comes from the number of designated heritage buildings found throughout the village setting. Experience the heritage of Streetsville by joining one of the very popular walking tours. The summer’s eve candlelight walk will create an enjoyment of the villages historical past presenting the history in a “whole new light.” This historical walk will take you by more than 24 heritage sites -- one of them being 41 Mill Street, Timothy Street’s home, believed to be the first brick home in Peel county. This quaint village offers much history for the citizens and visitors of the City of Mississauga.
Streetsville was known for exportation. Barber Woollen Mills was one of larger exporting producers for many years. Exportation of products from other industries such as the grist mill, saw mill, carding and planning mills were also big business for this village’s economic well being. Unfortunately, in the 1850’s the growth and progress of the railway brought an end to this growing economic thrust. Streetsville experienced a similar setback as did so many other small riverside villages in the province of Ontario. The railway bypassed Streetsville and the face of this booming village began to slowly change. Thankfully, opportunity arose once again in 1879 when the Credit Valley Railway arrived, providing a transportation link to Toronto and other economic markets.
The growth of Streetsville follows the path of incorporating as a village in 1858, with John Street as the first reeve. By 1962 Streetsville was designated a town and in 1974 the Town of Streetsville was finally amalgamated with Mississauga. Streetsville’s additional claim to fame is Hazel McCallion. Formerly the Mayor of Streetsville and now the Mayor of Mississauga, Mrs McCallion has been nominated for world mayor and is known for being one of Canada’s longest term mayors.
Like many smaller communities in Ontario, Streetsville continues to host its annual festival. Streetsville’s is the Bread and Honey Festival, held every summer usually in the month of June. The Festival brings family, friends and tourists together to acknowledge and celebrate the roots of this milling village.

Luck may have a little chance in getting your house sell fast, but there is a good chance for quick selling when a house is prepared to sell. Pricing could be very important factor, anyhow there are other important factors that will have a great deal of effect on where your house is ready for quick sale or not.
5 Steps for Helping Your House to Sell Quickly

1. Prepare yourself first to sell your house. You need to do your best to see the house as no longer your home, but just as a product to be marketed. This may take some work, particularly if you have been having that home for a number of years and has many good memories, but this is required if you want to maximize your potential.
2. Consider a qualified whole house inspection. An inspection would presumably expose any huge defects before they could cause future trouble with a potential buyer. It also is a signal to your buyers that you are a responsible and good seller.
3. Prepare the house. Stand back and look at your own house as impartially as possible. Would you purchase this home? Ask your friends and neighbors to do the same, asking them to be completely honest. Overlooking faults may cost you money! Get them fixed before you put the house on the real estate market.
4. Do what is essential to make your house be notable from the competition. Make sure that your house is fresher, cleaner, and much better maintained than other. Familiarize yourself with successful marketing and advertising techniques.
5. Remove most of the "impression", which you have crated on the house. Having just a few family pictures around is good, but if your house is a "place of worship" for your family, then walls full of personal pictures you need to take some steps to depersonalize it. Buyers must be able to imagine themselves in the house that is just impossible if everywhere they turn they stare at you!


Commercial Real Estate Credit
CREDIT AND ITS IMPACT ON INVESTMENT LOANS
The status of your credit plays a major role in helping you to obtain commercial real estate financing. It helps to determine how much financing for which you will qualify and what kind of an interest rate you will get on the loan. Unfortunately, most people do not pay attention to or monitor their credit files on a regular basis. If you are going to invest in real estate, this is an absolute “must.”
What is good credit?
Good credit for a commercial real estate investor usually means about twelve to fifteen “trade lines” of seasoned credit in a credit report, with several real estate loans either showing as active or having been paid off successfully. For example, car loans, current mortgages, and charge cards which are at least two years old and show no late payments. Again, for real estate investors, successful maintenance of real estate loans is a “must.”
Now granted, not everyone is perfect (in fact, very few are!) and we all have our ups and downs, so don’t be worried if you have a few 30-day late payments or some old collection accounts on your credit report. Today, credit reporting systems use a complex method of evaluating credit patterns which is distilled into and issued as a “credit score.” The higher the number, the less risk there is that a borrower is likely to “default” on a loan.
While this process, called “credit scoring,” is in full use for residential loans, the commercial lenders are only now starting to adopt it. There is a trend to use them by certain non-bank lenders for loans less than $2,000,000 or so.
Most underwriters (the people who would approve your loan) and underwriting systems that review your track record are looking for trends. In other words, they’re looking for a history or recent pattern of good or bad credit. Isolated incidents should not affect your ability to get a loan.
How Can You Repair Your Credit?
In most cases, a simple letter or phone call to the credit card company or business that originally gave you the “credit” can put you on the right track to having that “scar” removed from your report. It may not even be necessary though, based upon your recent credit patterns!
Sometimes they’ll require you to pay-off the balance of your debt or send in a letter explaining why you were late with your payment. Don’t pay any creditor off without talking to a qualified professional financial advisor or mortgage consultant first!
However, if you have a history of recent late payments, you’re probably going to have to let time take its course (although there might be trick or two here you can use).
There are a million scenarios I could review, but I think it’s important you walk-away with two key thoughts from this: 1) Your credit can make or break your ability to acquire a loan; and 2) you must know what is on your credit report, your credit score, and begin to examine and, if necessary, repair any credit problems immediately.
What Role Does Your Investment History Play?
Your investment property loan history or “track record” will play an important role in whether or not a lender will want to finance your next property. Investment properties, and their respective loans, are often looked upon as a higher credit risk than if you were buying your own home. So, if you have a proven track record of successfully selling or managing investment properties loans, with no late payments, then you are more likely to get your loan approved.
The bottom line is that “credit” or, more accurately, “credit history” is a major determinant in your ability to finance commercial real estate. Pay close attention to this area of your finances if you intend to be an active investor and manage your credit as you would one of your properties: Actively.
